MEMS Session 2015

MEMS Session 2015

MEMS sensors, 3D integration and market

Date: 7 October 2015

Time: 15:00 - 17:00

Location: TechARENA 2, Messe Dresden

Media Partner:

In the last decade MEMS has transitioned from primarily automotive applications  to consumer electronics along with specialized medical applications such as implantable wireless pressure sensors for cardiac monitoring. With the development of the Internet of Things (IoT) the diversity of sensor types and total number of sensors are expected to increase dramatically. Trillions of sensors are expected to be used to sense and control production processes, monitor the environment, assist with the driving of cars, and help support an aging society. It is likely that there will additional applications that have not yet been considered. Yole Dévelopment estimates the sensor business will reach US$45B in 2024 and with a total IoT market of US$400B. This growth in sensor diversity and sensor volume along with the supporting communication and data processing infrastructure will present many challenges. Technologies such as 3D Integration and monolithic integration will likely be part of the solution. This session will address the market, sensing devices, as well as integration aspects.

Who should attend?
