Fraunhofer Session 2015

Fraunhofer Group for Microelectronics Session 2015

Technology – Application – Society: Bridging the Gap

Organized by:

Fraunhofer Mikroelektronik

Date: 7 October 2015

Time: 10:15 - 12:15

Location: TechARENA 2, Messe Dresden

In our modern working and private lives, smart systems have become our constant companions. The use of these kinds of microelectronic- and nanoelectronic-based developments continues to grow quickly. Micro- and nanoelectronics and the closely related microsystem technology developed into / form dominant key technologies, the mastery of which is a prerequisite for (almost) all new and forward-looking products and developments.
As leading European R&D service provider for smart systems we are going to present in our Fraunhofer Session latest developments within our core competences which can provide the technologies needed to make the guiding product ideas in our application-oriented business units a reality:

•    Design for Smart Systems
•    Semiconductor based Technologies
•    Power Electronics and System Technologies for Energy Supply
•    Sensors and Sensor Systems
•    System Integration Technologies
•    Quality and Reliability
•    RF and Communication Technologies

The bundling of the core competences of our currently 16 institutes allows sector-specific, holistic, and tailor-made system developments based on both “More-Moore” and “More-than-Moore” technologies.

Basis for our work is the market-oriented balance between short-term, development-oriented research-to-order for small and medium-sized enterprises and big companies on the one hand, and our own long-term strategic preliminary research.

Who should attend?
Staff members Research & Product Development from technology providers, system houses and end users.
