SEMICON Europe 2007 Press Conference

The SEMI press conference was held on Tuesday 9 October 2007 at the Press Center.

Stanley T. Myers, President and CEO, SEMI, and Heinz Kundert, President, SEMI Europe provided a briefing on the state of the global semiconductor manufacturing industry, status and outlook for the semiconductor equipment and materials sector as well as highlights about SEMICON Europa.

This was followed by an open discussion together with:

• Prof. Peter Woditsch, President and CEO, Deutsche Solar, global producer of mono- und multicrystalline silicon wafers for photovoltaics
• Hans-Juergen Straub, CEO of X-Fab (Germany), the world's leading foundry group for mixed-signal semiconductor applications.
